Arts & Entertainment at CSU: March 2025 Catalog – The Cauldron

Students may find it difficult to keep track of and coordinate for all that happens around them on campus. This monthly collection of local arts & entertainment is meant to provide a varied starting point, including dates, times, locations, prices and more, so hopefully, everyone can find something of interest and plan to attend! 

March’s events are full of opportunities to get involved in the Cleveland community, offering lively festivals, performances and celebrations. 

On campus

March 5, 2025: Women’s HERstory Month Celebration

11 a.m. -1 p.m. | BH 142

Celebrate the start of Women’s History Month with The Mareyjoyce Green Women’s Center. Activities and refreshments will be provided as guests learn about the accomplishments of past and present-day women. 

March 7, 2025: Midnight Munch Trivia Night

6 p.m. -9 p.m. | Student Center Atrium

Join the Campus Activities Board for a night of good food and fun competition. Play in three game rounds including riddles, geography and trivia while snacking on breakfast foods in a diner-like setting.

March 1-23, 2025: King James

Various times | Outcalt Theatre

The story of life and relationships is told through the perspective of sports and the life of Lebron James starting in a bar in Cleveland Heights. Shawn and Matt, two Clevelanders, show how being a fan of sports can be about more than just the game. The play is a “love letter” to Cleveland and “King James” himself. CSU students can purchase tickets for $6 with the code CSUSTU.

March 4-23, 2025: & Juliet

Various times | Connor Palace

The musical “& Juliet” will stop in Cleveland on its national tour. It asks what would happen if Juliet had not died in the Shakespeare classic, while dancing along to pop classics. This romantic comedy provides an up-beat night full of laughs and fun.

March 6-27, 2025: Rock Hall Film Series

6:30 p.m. | Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Foster Theater

Watch four parts of the 2025 Film Series in March, featuring films that highlight the legacies of great musicians. The film series will include the stories of Amy Winehouse, Bob Dylan, Joan Jett and the resurrection of the synthesizer on a weekly basis. Cleveland residents get free admission to the museum, and general admission tickets for the film series are $10. 

March 17, 2025: Cleveland St Patrick’s Day Parade

1:04 p.m. | Superior Avenue and Public Square

A Cleveland tradition, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade is organized by The United Irish Societies of Greater Cleveland. Featuring floats, music and lots of green, the celebration offers free fun and fills downtown with festivities. 

March 21-23, 2025: NCAA March Madness

Various times | Rocket Arena

Six games over the course of two days will be played in Downtown Cleveland for the First and Second Rounds of the NCAA® Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. Individual and multi-day passes will be available for purchase online. 

March 21-23, 2025: Fan Expo Cleveland

Various times | Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland

Experience three days of fan events, including photo opportunities, celebrity interviews and original artwork. Celebrity appearances include David Tennant, Catherine Tate and Jared Padalecki. The weekend is a celebration of all things comics, gaming, anime and sci-fi. Single day tickets start at $29.

March 27- April 5, 2025: Cleveland International Film Festival

Various times | Playhouse Square

300 movies from around the world will be featured in the film festival’s 49th season. The representation of over 50 countries signifies the variety of stories, cultures and perspectives that will be projected onto the screens in Playhouse Square’s historical theaters. Some of the spotlight films include “For Worse,” “Love, Brooklyn” and “Marlee Matlin: Not Alone Anymore.”

March 7, 2025: Spokes and Jokes

8 p.m. | Sixth City Cycles

Enjoy a night of comedy hosted by the Snowflake Comedy Club, a pop-up club aiming to highlight local Cleveland businesses through comedy. The event will feature six local comics, and a setting filled with bicycles at Sixth City Cycle. Tickets start at $10 in advance. 

March 6, 2025: Pirate Night at Market Garden Brewery

6 p.m. | Ohio City Room at Market Garden Brewery

Les Délices and Seán Dagher will perform sea shanties at this immersive pirate party. From themed food and drink to a costume contest, the night is just one of the various Les Délices’ Shanty Week events. Tickets are $30, however, there are additional free events available throughout the week.  

March 14, 2025: Cleveland Ballet: Impressions of Picasso

7:30 p.m. | Gartner Auditorium, Cleveland Museum of Art

As the Picasso and Paper exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art comes to a close, discover the connection between Picasso’s art and the art of dance. Two ballet’s inspired by Picasso’s works of Guernica and Harlequin explore his interest in dance throughout his life. Tickets start at $35. 

March 20, 2025: History on Tap: 90s Girls’ Game Night

5 p.m. | Cleveland History Center

Celebrate Women’s History Month with a throwback to the 90’s. Including games, music, cocktails and history lessons, the event offers a fun opportunity to connect with community and reflect on the past. 

March 14-23, 2025: Fiber Art Fest

Various times | The Darl Center

View the work of leading global fiber artists at the featured fashion show and exhibit. The Wearable Art Fashion Show will feature the work of David Walker, among other artists, created from metal, plastic, wood and other unconventional fashion materials. Tickets are $20 for one of two show times. The museum gallery will feature global and postcard quilts.
