Cleveland State wrestling snuffed out its final match in program history with a 21-15 win over Kent State in front of a sold-out crowd at Woodling Gymnasium on Thursday, Feb. 20.
With 2,400 fans packing the stands on each side of the mat, the energy was electric as the Vikings battled through a back-and-forth match to secure the win. The CSU community watched as this emotional victory marked the end of CSU’s wrestling program, making a powerful statement in its final moments on the mat. Although as of right now the program is being cut, the team worked hard and went out on top, leaving behind a legacy of resilience and fight.
