After slight surges in crime reports during week three (14 reports) and week four (15 reports), Cleveland State University (CSU) saw a decline in reports for week five with nine total, according to the CSU 60-day crime log.

Five of nine crimes reported occurred on Sunday, Sept. 21. A triple-felony report of theft, criminal damaging or endangering, and motor vehicle trespass at The Langston, a residence hall, was made and remains open.

A separate report of obstructing official business, obstructing justice, resisting arrest and carrying concealed weapons in the Student Center has ended in an arrest. Also reported on Sept. 21 was a car break-in in Lot 51. The charges remain open in this case.

Another car break-in was reported on Tuesday, Sept. 23 in Central Garage, though the case is now closed. Other crime reports made on Sept. 23 include aggravated menacing at the Campus Safety Building (CSU PD at 1840 Chester Ave.), and assault and disorderly conduct at the Student Center. Both cases remain open.
