maximios November 16, 2025 Guide

Cleveland State University (CSU) began the spring 2025 semester with a relatively safe start, according to the CSU 60-day crime log.

Only two crimes were reported during the “Week of Welcome”, including an incident of menacing in The Edge, one of CSU’s residence halls, on Sunday, Jan. 12, and a heftier incident in The Langston, another residence hall, on Thursday, Jan. 16. The latter shows one count of tampering, two counts of underage possession/consumption of alcohol, two counts of assault and one count of criminal damaging or endangering – all of which remain open.

Winter break saw a longer list of crime reports to close out 2024 and ring in the new year. Standouts include a case of theft and motor vehicle trespass on Dec. 19, 2024 in Prospect Garage, as well as an open case of criminal damaging or endangering in the Music and Communications building on Jan. 9.

Jan. 10 saw a report of menacing by stalking and violation of a temporary protection order in Euclid Commons Building 4. The case was referred to the county prosecutor.

Using the 60-day crime log, available in person at the CSU Police Department and online, students can access the list of crimes from the past week. Below, they have been compiled into one list.
