CSU Professor Todd Alan Morgan shot to death – The Cauldron

Cleveland State University Assistant Professor Todd Alan Morgan, Ph.D., was shot to death in his Hudson, Ohio home on Wednesday, April 19. 

According to the Hudson Police Department, Morgan was found with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene after they responded to a welfare check request. 

CSU President Laura Bloomberg also released a statement earlier, saying, 

“We are deeply saddened and sorry to have lost a talented educator, friend and co-worker in such a tragic manner. I join the entire CSU community in sending our deepest sympathies to his family, friends and colleagues.”

Bloomberg also offered help from the University to students and staff who may be struggling as a result of this tragedy. 

“I understand that the loss of a member of our community is difficult and will come as a shock, especially to those who knew and worked most closely with Todd. Please know that there are campus resources available to assist students, faculty and staff.” 

According to the FOX 8 News I-Team, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating, alongside the Hudson Police Department. This incident is believed to have been isolated, and no arrests have been announced at this time. 

Morgan was a two time CSU alumnus and associate professor since 2021, working in the Monte Ahuja College of Business.
