Crime log reports spike 50% from last week – The Cauldron
Since Sept 8., there have been 14 or 15 campus crime log entries each week, but from Oct. 13 through Oct. 19, there were 21 crime report entries, a 50% increase, according to the Cleveland State University Sixty Day Crime Log.
Contributing to the increase were five fire alarms, five supervisory smoke alarms, three reports of theft and two charges of petty theft.
Arrests were made in an assault and robbery at 1900 Food & Beverage on Tuesday evening. Two individuals with misdemeanor warrants were also arrested.
Using the Sixty Day Crime Log that is available in person and online at the Cleveland State University Police Department website, the list of crime reports from the past week have been compiled into one list, excluding the campus safety escorts.
