The Cleveland Charge to pay Cleveland State University a flat fee of $1,500 per game that is held at the Wolstein Center, according to a public record request.

The local basketball team will also pay reimbursable expenses to CSU that include cleaning, support personnel, additional requested items, and resources per the contract, estimated at $11,687 per game. The Charge will also provide Cleveland State with 80 complimentary tickets for each game.

Cleveland State will provide limited monthly promotions of Charge games to the CSU campus community and at all other events held at the Wolstein Center.

CSU will also provide the Charge with free parking at the personnel lot behind the Wolstein Center and 105 spaces in the South Parking Garage for each event. Any revenue generated at CSU’s parking lots and garages during games will be retained by CSU.

The Charge will pay for any improvements to locker room spaces at the Wolstein Center to meet the NBA G-League standards. The Charge will also pay 50% of improvements associated with the Physical Education Building up to a limit of $50,000 as some CSU athletic activities require relocation from the Wolstein Center.

The contract, signed in August 2021, will run until July 31, 2023, and provides the Charge with three one-year options that extend the agreement until 2026.
