maximios May 11, 2024 Guide

A bomb threat and multiple car break ins top the list of 12 charges that remain open from 13 reported incidents during week 13 of the spring semester, according to the Cleveland State Sixty Day Crime Log.

Campus International High School, a CSU campus building located on 3100 Chester Ave., received a bomb threat that was first reported by the CSU emergency alert system at 8:16 a.m. Monday morning. At 8:44 a.m., a second alert announced the school was evacuated and police were on the scene. Police cleared the emergency and normal activities resumed, according to a third alert at 10:13 a.m. Activities on CSU’s main campus were not impacted. The open felony charges related to this incident are inducing panic and making false alarms.

At 56 Lot, two counts each of criminal damaging or endangering, theft and motor vehicle trespass are listed as six open felony charges. 57 Lot had charges of criminal damaging and endangering and motor vehicle trespass which remain open. Another charge of criminal damaging and endangering is open from Fenn Tower.

The final open charge is an off-campus assault.

Remaining steady from the week prior, two fire alarms and three supervisory smoke alarms comprise nearly half of the reports from week 13.

Using the Sixty Day Crime Log that is available in person and online at the Cleveland State University Police Department website, the list of crime reports from the past week have been compiled into one list, excluding the campus safety escorts.
