Arts & Entertainment at CSU: February 2025 Catalog – The Cauldron

Students may find it difficult to keep track of and coordinate for all that happens around them on campus. This monthly collection of local arts & entertainment is meant to provide a varied starting point, including dates, times, locations, prices and more, so hopefully, everyone can find something of interest and plan to attend! 

As the spring semester begins, jump back into the Cleveland community with all that February has to offer. 

Feb. 11, 2025: Galentine’s Day

11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. | BH 142

Celebrate Galentine’s Day with The Mareyjoyce Green Women’s Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Berkman Hall 142. Learn about healthy self-love, platonic love and friendship while enjoying snacks and activities. 

Feb. 13, 2025: Self-Love Portraits

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. | BH 142

Join The Mareyjoyce Green Women’s Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Berkman Hall 142 to create portraits embracing self-love. This event requires pre-registration. 

Feb. 13, 2025:  Annual Wax Hands Event 

11 a.m. – 3 p.m. | SC 301

Now a Valentine’s Day tradition, the Modern Interpretation of the Arts Association will be in room 301 of the Students Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. creating wax hand sculptures. Register in advance for the chance to create a personalized sculpture. 

Feb. 14, 2025: Be Mine Bash

5 p.m. – 8 p.m. | SC Atrium

Campus Activities Board will be hosting a Valentine’s day celebration from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Student Center Atrium. Enjoy snacks, crafts, and an opportunity to celebrate with friends!

Feb. 20-Mar. 2, 2025: Fairview

Various times | The Helen

Support CSU students as they present Fairview, the story of a middle-class African-American family that explores themes of family drama and furtive white supremacy. Use the code STUCSU to buy a $5 student ticket online.

Feb. 1-23, 2025: Fat Ham

Various times | Allen Theatre

Presented by the Cleveland Play House, enjoy this retelling of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Set at a backyard barbeque, this comedic twist on the classic is a Pulitzer Prize-winning play. CSU students can purchase tickets for $6 with the code CSUSTU.

Feb. 7 -Mar. 2, 2025: Peter and the Starcatcher

Various times | Hanna Theatre

The Great Lakes Theater presents the Tony Award-winning prequel to Peter Pan, based on the novel by the same name. This joyful production is performed by 12 actors portraying over 100 characters. Anyone under 25 years old can purchase a $15 ticket with ID.

Feb. 8, 2025: Cupid’s Undie Run

12 p.m. – 4 p.m. | Huntington Bank Field

Help fundraise to fight Neurofibromatosis (NF) with a mile-long run and a dance party held at Huntington Bank Field. One of many Cupid Runs across the United States, the event is an opportunity to support those affected by the genetic condition and fund further research. 

Feb. 14-16, 2025: Monster Jam

Various times | Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse

Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse will host Monster Jam, an action-filled night of monster trucks and high-speed tricks. The event includes racing, challenges and competition for the crowd to enjoy. 

Feb. 21-22, 2025: Cleveland Winter Beerfest

Various times | Huntington Convention Center

The Brew Kettle presents the 2025 festival at the Huntington Convention Center. Featuring hundreds of local and craft brews, join the festival for its 10th anniversary.

Jan. 31 – Feb. 16, 2025: Little Shop of Horrors

Various times | Near West Theater

This horror comedy musical is presented by the Near West Theater. The local community theater presents shows that are accessible and affordable for all attendees. 

Feb. 7, 2025: MIX: España

6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | Cleveland Museum of Art

Hosted by the Cleveland Museum of Art in the ATRM Atrium, join the celebration centered around the museum’s “Picasso and Paper” exhibit. Besides admission to the exhibit, the event will include a  flamenco performance, dance lessons and Spanish electro music.

Feb. 8, 2025: Valentine’s Market

12 p.m. – 5 p.m. | Mahall’s

Mahall’s is hosting an indoor market from noon to 5 p.m. at The Roxy full of “local goods made with love.” With free admission, the event offers over 20 local vendors selling jewelry, sweets, flowers, ceramics and more. 

Feb. 14, 2025: Valentine’s Day Swing Dance

6:45 p.m. | The Brownhoist

Join Cleveland Swing Dance at The Brownhoist for a night of live music and dancing, all experience levels are welcome.  Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. and the event will include a beginner dance lesson at 7 p.m. 

Feb. 15, 2025: Exploring Embroidery

11 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Ames Family Atrium

Learn about embroidery from a Northeast Ohio maker in the Ames Family Atrium at the Cleveland Museum of Art from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Held on the third Saturday of every month, this up-close experience allows viewers to witness how art is created. 

Feb. 15, 2025: Anti-Valentine’s Day

5:30 p.m. | The Foundry

Hosted by The Foundry, this all-ages show offers live music performed by eight bands. This event will also serve as the grand reopening of the concert venue. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and tickets are $15. 

Feb. 21, 2025: The Princess Bride with Live Orchestra

7:30 p.m. | Severance Music Center

The Cleveland Orchestra presents the music of The Princess Bride alongside the movie. The performance is at 7:30 p.m. at the Severance Music Center.
