All Rise: A Festival of Film & Law slated for a second year – The Cauldron

Cleveland State University’s School of Film & Media Arts and College of Law are partnering up for a second year to host the “highly anticipated” All Rise: A Festival of Film & Law from Oct. 16 through Oct. 20.

Much like last year, the festival will consist of both documentary and narrative films where law meets film. The event, beginning at 5 p.m. each day, will include a panel discussion and feature guest speakers to enhance the topics of cinema, law and justice.

“‘All Rise’ is not just a film festival; it is an immersive experience that bridges the gap between two seemingly distinct worlds, shedding light on how they intersect and influence one another,” said CSU in a press release.

Once again, the festival will be held at several locations, including the Westfield Studio Theatre and the School of Film & Media Arts Screening Room, both of which are located within Playhouse Square, along with the College of Law’s Moot Court Room.

Film screenings this time around will include “Chop & Steele,” “She Said,” “26.2 to Life,” “Legally Blonde,” and “Lovely Jackson.” All events and screenings are open to the public and free of charge.

“Audiences can expect to be moved, enlightened, and entertained by this diverse cinematic lineup,” said CSU.
