17 crime reports during third week of classes – The Cauldron
Crime reports on campus are increasing as the semester continues, according to the Cleveland State University Sixty Day Crime Log.
After eight reports in the first week of classes and thirteen reports during the second week of classes, seventeen crime reports from Jan. 28 through Feb. 3 occurred around campus.
At South Garage, The Edge and main classroom parking in Lot 60, incidents involving theft, criminal damaging or endangering, and motor vehicle trespass took place on Jan. 29 and Feb. 1. The reports at The Edge are closed, though all others remain open felonies.
With crime reports at The Edge on the increase since winter break, The Edge saw two other reports of petty theft that remain open.
Four counts each of theft and criminal mischief, in addition to three counts of petty theft, are the most frequent reports during the third week of classes.
One fire alarm and three supervisory smoke alarms account for another portion of the reports.
Using the Sixty Day Crime Log that is available in person and online at the Cleveland State University Police Department website, the list of crime reports from the past week have been compiled into one list, excluding the campus safety escorts.
